Position: People Manager

Job Purpose:
Responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of Human Resources practices and processes within the company. This role involves managing recruitment, performance management, employee development, employee relations, compliance, compensation and benefits. The People Manager plays a key role in strategic planning and aligning HR initiatives with business objectives to foster a high-performance culture.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- NQF 7 in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
- A Postgraduate Qualification in Employee /Labour Relations Management / Labour Law and a Business Qualification is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 8 Years’ experience in Human Resources of which at least 5 years at Management level
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience Required:
At least eight years’ experience dealing with the following:
- Developing and implementing HR initiatives aligned with business strategy, partnering with senior leadership, and leading succession and workforce planning.
- Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and performance appraisal processes.
- Addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and advising on HR issues.
- Overseeing benefit enrolments, pay administration, and ensuring compliance with legal standards.
- Identifying training needs and creating development programs.
- Enforcing HR policies, managing statutory reporting, and overseeing workplace safety.
- Leading HR-related change initiatives and providing guidance on the human impact of organizational changes
Technical and Behavioural competencies required:
- Strong leadership and management skills: Ability to motivate and guide teams effectively.
- Labor Law and Compliance: Knowing local employment regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Analytical skills: Ability to analyse market data, track performance, and make data-driven decisions.
- Communication and Interpersonal skills: Ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues and stakeholders.
- Business Acumen: Understanding of business principles, financial management and sales performance metrics.
